Although, I’m in CA, my experience with the staff, especially the Director [name removed] and Director over Wellness and Care [name removed], has been very favorable. They are both very attentive to my mother’s needs and my questions and requests. Overall, I feel my mom is in a very safe, caring environment.

There were some adjustments when she first moved in, but it is like a small community and they are are one of the best we had found, and I looked at dozens! It’s kept clean and cozy and there is always someone to watch over them and provide the services needed. Given the State rating on a national scale ( 3rd worst in USA for elder care and care for the poor) they have stepped up and provided a safe and comforting environment.

Just toured this community yesterday. It definitely checked most of the boxes (safe, allows for aging in place, great floor plans and amenities).

Did like however some of the available apartments were not updated. Did have new paint, but cabinets and microwave/refrigerators were old. Studio layout wasn't as good as some of the others we've seen, smallish balconies. Inside main areas were very nice, however not all centrally located. For example activities room on second floor and dining, library on first floor. Outside of building some parts appeared to need painting. Activities room was multiple purpose, i.e. exercise room, theater, games. Which needed to be changed out before each event.

Overall my mom really likes it there. She loves the food. Maintenance is a problem, however. She had a leaky faucet and put in a work order about six weeks ago, but it still hasn't been fixed. Her toilet began to run constantly after flushing on a weekend and there's no weekend maintenance coverage. It is really annoying her!

I felt Brookdale is a friendly and welcoming place. They are in the midst of a major face lift with new paint scheme and carpets though out common areas. It’s has very home feel to it, not overly fancy. There are many activities every day, in fact, they were having a Hawaiian luau that day. The floor plans were a little on the small side and kitchens don’t have a stove. Rent a bit high starting at $3,595 plus $2,000 initial fee. Has age in place services available. The food menu looks like there are many choices each day and always changing.

Pleasant experience; several other Parkinson's residents; also take respite. Older facility with two floors; private rooms, clean and light.

The staff here were extremely genuine and kind, very helpful and informative. It seemed everyone liked working there and residents had decent care. Unfortunately the place was in need of some immediate updating, and the price was not significantly under the cost of newer facilities that offered a much nicer environment. I did get the feeling that they really did care for the residents, so that counts for a lot. I was a little concerned about how they charge for individual services above and beyond the core "rent", so you could be paying over $1500 per month in addition depending on what help the resident requires. That just seems to open up a whole lot of uncertainty from month to month on what the costs will be. And even though all the facilities seem to have price increases each year, the one went up 8% last year alone.

My biggest complaint is that my husband has tried to bring attention to constant loud music or television blasting all night. No one has followed through to resolve this . For what we pay it is ridiculous that you cannot sleep at night and that no one on the staff has taken charge.

Very nice, may be a bit pricier. Location is good.

Our mother is going well here. She is always dressed and clean. Since she can't care for herself, this is important to our family. The meals are tasty and appealing.

I had a tour on [date removed]. It was nice, I liked it a lot. It was older but comfortable. The people are friendly and i have scheduled a lunch with my dad for [date removed].

I was very impressed With BrookDale Foundation House. The staff were very friendly and [name removed] the sales manager was very nice and answered all my questions. I ate lunch and the food was very good. The rooms were a good size and I liked the lay out. When I first walked in, I felt like i was walking into a lobby of a nice hotel. I will probably set up a lunch with my dad this week. The only draw back is, i don't know if i can say this right, but its not necessarily cozy or home like. I will bring my dad and see what he thinks

Pleasant, clean. Staff seemed to know residents by first name. Lots of activities on the board.

Very nice facility with super friendly staff and very nice rooms. Services and amenities seemed very good and quite accommodating. Price was bit too much for our budget.

A very nice community with very pleasant staff. I found some things lacking that I thought my mother would like to have. Pricing here was a little out of our price range as well.

THE STAFF IS REALLY FRIENDLY. THE MEALS COULD OFFER MORE CHOICES. THE HAVE 1 SPECIAL FOR DINNER EACH NIGHT.
