Brookdale

My Mom entered at the start of covid, so it is hard to evaluate all things. Her room is large. She has her own restroom. A sink, refrigerator, and cabinets for supplies. They have a lot of activities for the residents. They provide snacks at night, which they have a choice of.

Living in a retirement community has been a new experience for me. Having lived in a single home dwelling all my life, it was not easy to change to apt. living. However, here at Brookdale Tamarac Square I've found a community of good friends, and the adjustment has been pretty easy. The staff is exceptional. We are given help when needed, but are treated fairly, not condescendingly (like "old folks" needing to be pampered), but with appropriate dignity. I would certainly recommend Tamarac Square to anyone considering a switch to apt. living. Folks here have made the transition period pleasant and enjoyable.

Had such a great experience with [name removed] their Sales Manager. She has been so patient while judging all the resident requests, during my 2 visits. This community is quaint and clean. While this has been a difficult process, their Sales Manager has made it so easy, even helped us get ready for the move, and found a handyman. God-sent and kind beyond words!

I went with Brookdale Fort Smith because of the staff members. It is important when you first enter a facility how welcoming the staff are, it will tell you if they like their job and if they are good with people. That is what impressed me about this facility. The room sizes here are ok and I would recommend to others looking.

I had no idea how the transition to Brookdale would go for my mother but after a couple of weeks and a bump here and there I am now quite comfortable in my decision. The staff is wonderful. She has been there now 2 years. I can’t believe how this trying year went for those on the staff but for me, seeing and talking with my mother every week via FaceTime and knowing the extraordinary measures they were going through to keep the residents safe I was comforted. I had much less worry knowing the staff was there doing the best with the COVID-19 pandemic. I feel like the staff listens to concerns and address them. I see the care, dedication, love and thoughtfulness they give to the residents and the families of the residents. Sadly, like many, I never saw this chapter in my mother’s nor my life and had not planned nor knew how to come to terms with it. Both A Place For Mom and Brookdale have been an answer for my searches.

It's an excellent place to live

We had a virtual tour at Brookdale Clinton. I thought it was nice. It looked fairly new. The people were friendly. We ended up choosing one was that was closer so it would be easier to check in on our loved one.

The staff is super friendly. The location is extremely nice. It's clean. They have a lot of activities for the members. My family member likes to play instruments, so he plays the piano there every day. They have bingo and bowling, and they've started taking the residents on outings once a week. The food is good and my loved one has no complaints. The rooms have cable and internet, so we've always been able to communicate with him. He's been keeping busy. It doesn't feel like a retirement home. It feels like you're on a cruise ship. My wife and I are thinking about going there when it's our time.

Brookdale Wilmington is a wonderful caring facility! Everyone is family…everyone is loved, both residents and staff. I can’t say enough good things about the loving and caring staff!

A nice place to live.

This place is great! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, even at home. Great food. Lots of activities. I enjoy movies, Christian activities, and playing cards. There are many other things to do as well. The grounds are beautiful.

My father has been a resident of Brookdale of Greenville for several years. He feels safe and secure. The staff is excellent and very caring. They call all the residents by name and are respectful and helpful. We have never had any regrets with choosing Brookdale and I recommend them all the time!

My mom moved to Brookdale at Tamarac a few months ago. In such a short amount of time she has found a wonderful new chapter in her life doing many new activities and making friends. The staff is truly caring, talented and committed to giving their residents such quality in their lives. From Shannon the executive director, to the ladies at the front desk, to [name removed] in accounting, to [name removed] the activities director, to [name removed] the chef and the cleaning and maintenance crew. My family is very grateful that my mom feels safe and happy. And she loves not having to cook and clean anymore

Everything was great!

The people who led our tour were very nice, and it was a good experience. It's just an older, more dated facility in comparison to another we looked at. There was nothing wrong with it. We just found another place we liked better. And if that one didn't work out, this would have been our next choice.

My mother had been with Brookdale for approximately 4 years . She is on assisted living and had her own little apartment. She has a courtyard view where she enjoys watching the birds.. The staff are all willing to help the resident and their families with care and respect
