Brookdale

It has been a year since I almost died - twice! It appears I have recovered as much as possible at my advanced age. So, I want to thank you and your staff for helping make this possible during my recovery and two quarantines!! Also, thanks for getting my "vaccine shots" as soon as possible!

My sister-in-law feels safe and well cared for by the staff at Brookdale. They are kind and responsive to her needs. She enjoys the food - which is quite remarkable! The chef is remarkable too - very flavorful meals and much variety. The community has recently undergone a renovation and the place is just lovely. Thank you Brookdale!

Excellent services in house w/ personal trainers, PT, OT, nursing, and salon. Friendly front desk staff who really care about the residence.

Our mom has lived here for over 3 years. Overall she loves it. She's made lots of new friends with residents and staff. Every staff member we've dealt with has been friendly and helpful. We have recommended Hawthorn Lakes to others.

Brookdale is a wonderful home; the staff is friendly, helpful and very kind. My sister (only 63) lives there and is happy for the first time. She has previously been a resident at 3 other facilities. We found Brookdale and fell in love with everything about it. The food is exceptional, housekeeping as well. Thank you for providing a pleasant home for my little sister.

Since my dad was moved into memory care, he has been able to exhale. The sense of community in his unit has made his experience stress-free as his Altzheimer’s progresses. There are lots of group activities and one-on-one care that keeps his mind active, well-socialized, safe and happy. The staff is great and the care directors listen and respond to any needs or concerns appropriately. Top-notch.

I was hesitant to place my mother in an assisted living facility, but had a friend whose mother was at Brookdale North Austin, and he was nothing but complimentary about the facility. When it became obvious that my mother was going to need more assistance than my brothers and I could provide, we decided the time had come to find an assisted living facilty for her. We scheduled a visit, and were pleased with what we saw. The facility was very clean, the staff was super friendly, and there were plenty of activities to keep mom busy. Within a week of the visit, we had my mother moved in, and had her apartment set up with her own furniture, family pictures, and everything else needed to make it feel like home. She was also able to bring her dog. The staff has been nothing but wonderful during the covid lock down. I appreciate the work they do to keep my mother safe. This is a top notch facility, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living for a loved one.

Over the years, we've had my mother and father-in-law at this facility. The best part has been working with the people there. They all seem caring and want to help you the best they can

Can't begin to tell you how much this staff goes out of their way for my father (and us, the family). They have all been personal yet professional from the very get go! They feel like family and I'm thrilled that we chose Brookdale Punta Gorda for my dad's residence. The facility always looks clean and the rooms are nice. If you are considering an assisted living arrangement for yourself or a family member go in for a consult and meet everyone. I am thrilled with the care and compassion from this fine group of folks.

I love living in this community. I would not have it another way. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Iam happy with everything here. I dont want for anything. I have lots of friends and love the church service on Sundays.

Our staff is warm and caring. They would do anything for me. Ive made the best friends here, with always an exciting program to join. The food we have here is nutrisious and colorful and delicious. I love it here.

After living in my own home for 35 years, I was hesitant to make a move at my age of (97). I soon realized it was one of the best decisions I made. the staff is so compassionate and kind. I made friends quickly and I enjoy the food very much. My Apt is spacious and I brought items from my home to make it my own. I recommend Brookdale PG. So happy I made the decision to move here.

When looking for a home for your loved ones the best advise I can give is GO SMALL! Don't get pulled in by the fancy furniture etc...that many of the large facilities offer. I did that & my mom was just another number. There was no continuity of care & the staff changed so much that they didn't know who she was. Then I found Brookdale Punta Gorda, my mother has been there for almost 8 years. She is part of their family & they are part of ours. I can rest easy knowing that she is with friends who know her so well. Thanks to the current management & CNA's she is getting the best care & attention that I have seen in a long time. Thanks Brookdale for all you do to insure that my mother is well cared for!! When researching facilities, look at the tenure of the staff - especially the Health & Wellness Director, nursing and key CNA's. It's tough to keep staff in this industry but Brookdale Punta Gorda has done a great job & created an environment that makes staff enjoy where they work.

Great community, friendly staff and residents. I am looking for a place for my om and think she will love it here. There was so much going on when we visited, mom wanted move in right away. The community is clean & airy, it is so welcoming.
