Brookdale

We went with Brookdale Bossier City over others we looked at because of the rating that it had and also we got some references from friends and people we knew. I do think they could provide some more activities for the residents to participate in, but overall the staff are super friendly and helpful. I would recommend the facility to others.

I had a very good tour experience with Brookdale Augusta and I really liked the facility a lot. Unfortunately they did not have the large, spacious apartment that I was looking for.

Facility seemed kind of dated. The rooms looked like they needed a lot of work. The staff was very nice. Not all inclusive on pricing and that was the deal breaker.

We thought Brookdale Carmel was very nice. It's such a pretty facility. The staff were very friendly and easy to work with. If you can get your loved one in there relatively early when they still have some of their faculties, I think it's great. It can be a bit harder for them to adjust later after some decline. You have to be their advocate when they're in that condition, which would be the case anywhere. If a person can't see, you'll need to spend more time with them to get them out and about. Again, that would be the case anywhere you go. We were pleased with them and would use them again, and I would recommend them to other families.

Four years ago I lost my mother to dementia. Prior to her death, she was a resident in Brookdale for three years. While there she received excellent care. She spent the end of her life in a clean facility with a competent, caring staff who graciously tended to her physical and emotional needs. Ten months ago my sister was diagnosed with dementia. When it became evident that she was no longer safe staying in her own home, the first and only call I made was to Brookdale. Fortunately, they had space for her. She is now receiving the same competent, caring attention that was given to our mother. Ironically from some of the same staff members. This longevity of staff speaks to the positive environment that is Brookdale.

I tell people all the time how wonderful Brookdale was with our family and loved one. my mom got sick during her stay and had to spend some time in the hospital. she went back to Brookdale on hospice and they really took care of her. they did an awesome job, I have no complaints. the staff at Brookdale feel like family now. in fact, while I visited my loved one with another family member, we'd tell each other "this feels like a little slice of heaven" because it was the perfect place for mom.

Go to them and don't waste your time on anyone else.

Our family had an in person tour and the gentlemen who gave the tour was very friendly and pleasant to speak with. The community is very nice looking on in the inside but there is not much on the outside. They do have a pool, but no walking spaces or grassy areas.

The cleanliness and the homey environment really stood out to us as well as the staff and how welcoming they all were. We have not experience the meals ourselves but the dining room situation seems to be fine. They also have a lot of internal activities like arts and crafts and different physical activities.

It was a very good place for my loved one to be at and to have his family with him. It was great.

We chose Brookdale Eden Estates because the executive director [name removed] was great in the beginning. She gave us a great tour and introduced us to everyone, she made sure she was available if we needed anything, and she went the extra mile to make sure our loved one was comfortable after moving in. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

The transition would be easier here from assisted to memory care but the independent living is better at other places. That was what I got from the tour with my loved one.

Very nice staff.

My sister loves it here. They do an excellent job of taking care of her. She gets along with all the staff and meeting new people. She loves the food here. It is a very comfortable place for her. They are very caring for their residents.

We like it because of the location and we are all close by. I would recommend it.

My husband and I moved into Brookdale nearly 6 months ago. Since then, everyone at Brookdale has helpful and friendly. 5 stars all the way!

Visit was very informative without pressure. The food was excellent and they went beyond for us. The place is beautiful with lots of natural light and very clean.

Most importantly my mom loves living at Brookdale Monrovia. She always talks about the great food, her lovely apartment, and enjoyable residents. The best part of Brookdale Monrovia is the caring staff. From the director to the aids they are all amazing.

I work in home health and I am an occupational therapist. This ALF has had consistent staff for several years and they truly care for the residents that have made Brookdale their home.
