The integrity of the staff with/for my husband and for us, his family, is hard to beat. They are well equipped to handle the situations that may arise with his care. I have not had a meal there, but it always looks good and healthy, hence no number.

Brookdale Tarpon Springs is a cozy and unique community that has a home like feel! The property is all one level and the staff is wonderful! The residents are all known by name and they are celebrated on a daily basis. The Chef is a Le Cordon Bleu graduate that cooks three meals a day from scratch. The restaurant dining experience includes servers that proudly serve each dish to the residents. The activities director [name removed], has been there for over 10 years. Some of the resident favorite activities include daily happy hour, karaoke singing, group movies with homemade popcorn, art class, daily Bfit exercise and mind trivia just to name a few.

I really like the fact that Brookdale offers little apartments for both memory care and assisted living (without a kitchen for memory care, for safety reasons). You can decorate however you want, and it just feels so homey. The facility's décor has kind of an old antique-y look to it, which feels more comfortable to much of the older generation that they serve. The care is good for what it is - keeping in mind it's not a skilled nursing facility. You still need a GP to manage your loved one's care. Brookdale does have a doctor that makes rounds there if you would like to use him. But we preferred ours. The staff take such good care of our family and are very caring. They get to know their residents. They make sure the residents are up and about. And they go out of their way to accommodate. We are very thrilled with the way they treat our family. It has turned out much, much better than we anticipated.
