Brookdale

I had a good tour of this community. Everyone was very sweet and kind. All the staff was professional and courteous. The community looked great, and everything was nice and very clean. They were very kind to my family and I. It was a pleasant experience.

We toured the Brookdale The Heights and decided not to go with this community. Not because there is anything wrong with the place, it all came down to distance. It was not in the best location for us. The place itself was very nice. The people there were all very nice and friendly.

The move to this community has been a great experience for my grandmother. The place is kept yes very clean. She is looking like she might need memory care soon, but the community has offered to save her a spot in their memory care. Their memory care unit is very nice. So far, they are doing a good job in keeping her safe. I like the fact that the community its small, it's not an overwhelming community. The apartment she is in is small but comfortable. From what I've heard, the meals are great. They have activities daily and she has been going to most of them.

I toured this community for my father in law and his needs. It is a nice community, and everything is went well. Our tour guide was sweet and informative. She answered all our questions. They have nice activities for the residents. It was really a good experience.

I had a very good tour of this community. It is a very nice community with friendly people. The community looked a little bit older than the other communities we looked at. You could tell it needed some updating. I had to consider that fact it needed updating, the prices they were asking for was not reasonable. My tour went well, but this wasn't the community for us.

The staff has been great. Overall everything has been great with the community. We loved the feel of the community when we walked in and saw the residents. It really felt like home. That is what we wanted for mom.

During my tour of the Brookdale Sherwood, I noticed that they did not have a dedicated memory care unit there, all of the residents were in the same building with different levels of care. It did not feel as secure. But the building itself was very clean and all of the staff were very frienldy.

I did a lot of research, asked a lot of questions, and toured several Independent Living facilities, from Daytona to Georgia before showing my parents Brookdale Southside. In the end I wanted this to be their decision. When Mom walked in, she said it felt like home. Change is hard, and the staff at Brookdale does everything they can to make it easier for both me and my parents. My parents look forward to the events, socializing, and meals provided each day.

I really liked it here,[Removed] was great on the tour and I talked to several people who were happy. Names were known by staff and I think my Mom could be happy here. I will continue my search.

This community was clean and the people we met during our tour were nice. They offered activities and you are able to have pets. We chose another community were the staff seemed a little more personable.

The tour was good and the staff was very knowledgeable. I did not see staff interacting with the residents at all. They have a nice community though and it seems to be a nice place to live.

My sister seems to really be enjoying her self since she made the move into this community. She has been loving all of the activities they provide during the week. The activities defiantly help her stay busy and out of her room as well as getting her involved with other residents. Since making the move into this place she has started to gain weight and get some of her nutrition back from how well she has been eating. She seems to really like the meals they serve which is a huge positive. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone interested in retirement.

My loved one is doing well here at this community. Everything is going well for the most part. The only issue I have with this community is I wish they would had informed me that they were not a skilled nursing facility. Other than that she has adjusted better that I expected. She is being provided with good care. I have't had any problems with the staff. They are very good with their communication. Overall it is still a work in progress, but she is in good hands.
