Brookdale

It is still a work in progress for my mother since her move to this community, but so far all is well. We have had a few problems in the beginning, but they are very wiling to work with us. The staff overall is helpful and attentive. They have pretty good activities for the residents. The food is good, she is satisfied with the meals. I'am hoping things continues to go in a positive direction for us here at this community.

I moved my mom into Brookdale Southside about a month ago. Overall the staff has been very helpful, friendly and responsive to my requests and concerns. The facilities are very nice, clean and well maintained. I have two main complaints, however. They do not really have many activities during the day for someone like my mom who likes to stay busy and play games. She participates in just about everything they have to offer but it isn't much. Most days she is in her room and complains to me about boredom. My other complaint is the handling of the dining room and the dinner arrangements. I moved my mom there hoping she would not have to eat alone but may nights she is seated at a table by herself and no effort is made to find her dining companions. She has gotten so upset on several occasions that she has returned to her room and not eaten at all. Complaints to the staff has not yet resolved this issue. Overall I would still recommend this facility but feel the issues addressed above need improvement.

Things are going pretty good for my mother since she made the move into the Brookdale East Mesa. The residents and caretakers are very nice. The administrative office, not so much. There is also is a lack of communication between shifts, which could use some work.

My mom had a few issues here ay this community that needed to be worked on. The staff is nice and friendly. She has been happy with the community being clean and taken care of. She likes the meals and the good variety. She does participate in a lot of activities with other residents. I would recommend the care that is given here and the value.

Things are going fine. I don't have an issue with the staff they are very friendly and acknowledge all the residents by there name and I appreciate that. The community is always clean and neat. She likes the meals and we even like that they are getting a new healthier menu with better choices.

My mother is doing very well here at this community. I'am comfortable with the care she is receiving. The staff is caring for her very well. She is safe and in a good place. Overall the experience has been pleasant.

We are very happy with my mothers move to this community. She is doing pretty well for the most part. I know she is being provided with great. They have a very good staff here. There are activities available for her when she ready to participate. Overall it has been good experience for us here at this community, and I would recommend it.

It has been a rough adjustment period, but they take good care of my husband. The workers there are very nice and understanding. During one of my visits, When I was getting ready to leave my husband wanted to go with me. When I asked one of the staff members to help me, she came and gently took him on her arm to distract him while I left. I am happy with the way they are taking care of him so far.

My friend is doing okay in her new community that she choose after enjoying the tour experience. This was recommended to her and she like it there. The staff were good to communicate with in the beginning and the community is well maintained and clean. She likes the food much better than her last community.

My friend is doing since her move to this community. I know she is safe and in a good place. The staff is lovely, and they are good at what they do. They do a very good job of keeping the community neat and tidy. She is trying some of the activities offered. The meals are nice. She is starting to adjust, and I would recommend this community.

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. My tour went pretty well. From what I saw the community looked well maintained. The staff I met was kind and courteous. Everyone was very nice to my family and myself. It was a pleasant experience.

Brookdale was nice but the rooms seemed really small. They had an oven and little kitchenette that took up a lot of the living space, and made the rooms feel smaller than the other community we were looking at.[Removed] was really nice to work with. But overall this was a good bit more than the place we chose. Very nice though, and a pretty equal option depending on what your needs are.

During my tour of the Brookdale Lexington, I noticed that it was a very large community. Also, all of the patients with different levels of care were all mixed together. We were looking for something smaller and more personable.

My tour of the Brookdale Peachtree went well, the place was nice and the people were friendly. We ended up going with a different community because the Brookdale was just too big. We wanted something smaller and more home like.

I'am doing pretty well since my move to this community. They are caring for me and my needs very well. It is a very nice and clean community, they do a very good job with the cleanliness of the place. All the staff is very thoughtful and always willing to help. There are activities offered. The meals are decent. Overall I feel happy and safe at this community.

This place was phenomenal in my eyes. I really did like it here. The staff was helpful and kind. I was able to see some of the residents out and doing things. I just though that they were expensive and did not offer as much.

The people here were really nice and very helpful. We just did not think that this would be a good fit for mom. She was not on the level where she needed total care. The place just felt like a nursing home and institutionalized.

We really liked this community and it was super nice. We liked that it was smaller so that mom can feel more at home. We also liked seeing the staff interacting with the residents and the residents looked happy.

The transition for my mother is going pretty smooth. The place is clean and kept up very well. I'm a little disappointed the activity director left, and they haven't replaced her and so that's kind of disheartening. Of course, they don't discount the bill every month for less service. The food needs improvement, they don't serve enough fresh fruit and vegetables. The meals they serve are from cans. The bread is just white bread. My mother had a sandwich one day that was pre-breaded factory frozen chicken that they just warm up. They provide the cheapest apples they could buy as snacks, I wish they would have citrus and grapefruit. Overall good place but could use improvement.
