There were several reasons we chose this community for our loved one. The location was very convenient for our family. The price was right for what we needed. The appearance of the community was very nice and provides a comfortable setting; it was very warm and welcoming. Overall it just seems like a really good community that was within our budget. We have been overall happy with the way things are going. The staff are very nice and the facility itself is clean. The only issue we have had has been with the meals. They do not seem to be very nutritious, especially at dinner time. I think they could improve on this and offer more balanced meals for the residents.

They could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness. The individual apartments are clean and they come and do housekeeping, but the common areas need more cleaning, as far as the hallways, the grounds, the patio furniture, etc. It is a really old facility though, and some of the rooms need to be redone. Everyone is extremely friendly and accomodating here! Also, they offer activities for the residents. They do crafts, play BINGO, and they even had an Elvis impersonator come in recently. The value is okay. They've been very accomodating and are very nice!

We miss the warm, safe, attentive feel from old management. New team is unavailable, cancelling rides, disorganized activity plans, cutting corners, food is not enough for a larger man/cant get second servings, feels very corporate now and just waiting for them to raise rent.

Dorothy stayed in the memory unit but did not have any memory issues. Under management staff the team was great she had nothing but good things to say and appreciated e everything they did. The manager of the memory unit was very rude to her and intimidated her by telling her that she was going to tell us and Dorothy told her I wish you would. She had slid from her lift chair accidentally and the manager told her to get up herself. Very few activities they seem to cancel them daily. Food was good. Cleanliness was good size of room perfect. She also had another complaint when she slipped down didn't fall but slipped. It took awhile for someone to come after she pushed her button. She ended up yelling and someone heard her.

Staff are kind and friendly, Lower price is on specific way they could improve.

The admin staff are not very neighborly. The food is not so great (you better like chicken). The laundry & housekeeping are very good. I just have a room that fits a twin bed and recliner. Bathroom also. They do include a small refrigerator.

I would have initially rated the experience a three, but now I would say it's closer to a four or five. The move-in process was a bit challenging, as there were some room-related adjustments that caused confusion and made the transition harder than expected. There were also a few early coordination issues that took some time to resolve. However, since getting settled, things have improved significantly. She is now very comfortable and genuinely enjoying her experience. She especially likes her room, the food, and the caregivers.

Facility was kept very clean. Food was outstanding. If nurse that worked in 2025 has left, I would recommend. If she is still there, I would never recommend. She never even bothered to come to my mother's room when she was having a stroke nor internally bleeding and manager was aware of the situation.

Unfortunately, staff play such a dominant role in a facility like this, and they truly can make or break the experience. While a few staff members were excellent, many were not. [name removed](the manager), [name removed](the receptionist), [name removed](the maintenance manager), and [name removed](the activities director) were phenomenal-compassionate people clearly doing their best under challenging circumstances. Sadly, the kitchen manager was awful, and many caregivers spent more time socializing with each other than attending to residents. I witnessed caregivers whose idea of "shower assistance" was placing a resident in the shower and then spending the entire time on their phone. Facilities like this are so important for people facing difficult diagnoses such as dementia and Alzheimer's. These individuals deserve respect, dignity, and attentive care. While I understand how difficult it can be to find good employees, it's critical that people truly understand the responsibility they're taking on when applying for these roles-it's more than just "a job." At a glance, the facility is beautiful and has real potential. However, having visited multiple times a week over an extended period, I likely saw more than most. Laundry frequently went missing, dining room tables and floors were often unclean, the food quality was very poor, and I personally witnessed the kitchen manager disrespecting residents on more than one occasion.

Wasn't totally satisfied with them. We would question them about things and it was always we are short handed. Their house keeping needs little help at times also.

Overall it was fair. Activities were good. Rooms very small. Food dining good. Staff caring but was told they could care for Mom to end of life and had lifts. Found not knowledge at all and did not have lifts. I had to educate staff not to feed her when she had decrease level of consciousness

The manager of the memory side was very rude to [name removed] She slipped off her lift chair and she tried to force her to get up on her own. Since [name removed] does not have memory issues she was well aware of how she was being treated by her. The other employees seemed to treat her very well and she enjoyed her stay with that exception.

The tour was great. The facility/grounds are well cared for. It presents as very nice when you're touring and when you're initially meeting with staff I'd say it gives a good first impression Most of the caregivers were nice. Some of them were too rushed, hurried and didn't seem to have enough time to do their job. The food was overcooked half the time it was dry looking not exactly high grade. For instance very fatty bacon lots fat. Tasteless food. We rented an entire apartment both rooms and the bathroom. It was spacious enough to meet our needs but very expensive. The administrative staff didn't seem to really care about are concerns. With the exception of the executive Director, [name removed] . She was honest. All in all there are not enough caregivers at Sunol Creek.

I do like going there to visit, the caretakers and staff are good to my loved one, and I certainly understand if they are frustrated with him at times. (He lived with me for 6 years). I often eat lunch with him on Sunday. The food is good, the waiters are sweethearts, and everything is clean. My loved one enjoys many of the activities.

The caregivers I have a relationship with are overwhelmed. And I have an issue with the cleanliness of her bathroom, which makes me question her sanitary care. I find her hamper full most of the time. But the caregivers I encounter, I like, but they are overwhelmed.

The staff was friendly and for the most part accessible. The facility was clean and inviting. Astoria,'s overall. Communication system was also well thought out and resident simple for when a resident needs assistance.
