Nothing is perfect.

Prior to moving here, I walked or relied on public transportation to get around town. As I got older it became more difficult for me to get to the grocery store and laundry mat. Since moving here my life is much easier. As all meals are provided I no longer need to shop for groceries and the washer/dryer is right down the hall. The weekly housekeeping and linen service is also very helpful. The Grand has two nice enclosed courtyards which means I can get fresh air and sunshine without leaving the complex. Staff are very nice and plan numerous activities (games, walks, parties, community outings, movie nights) allowing me to socialize more than I could if I lived alone. Finally, monthly rent is less than other facilities in town. If you are looking for a comfortable Senior Living Facility at a reasonable price you should consider this facility.

My room is very comfortable. The food is very good. The staff is very efficient. Housekeeping does a good job- just wish they would do dusting.

I like it here. Kind staff, dietary need training. Food ok but minimum. Consistencey everywhere is the key.

Food could use some improvement, only one choice for lunch and dinner. Too much chicken.

People are friendly. Three meals a day provided. A pleasant place to live. Management listens to our concerns. No nurse on hand, which I would like.

I really like my studio apartment. My window faces South so I get a lot of sunshine I have made many friends here and enjoy their company. I play cards, Bingo, Bonco. The food is good and the community is very clean.

I have lived at Independence Village for 5 years and I love my apartment. I feel safe and secure. I enjoy the friendship and the entertainment. Sometimes I feel the staff is short-handed, however they are always courteous, helpful and go above and beyond the call of duty. The price is within my range and they have lifetime rates! Only wish there was more to the housekeeping.
