5-spacious, expensive apartment, plenty of activities, great food but that location doesn't have a memory care unit. Additional services like medicine administration, night checks, etc. All service where by a third party company that worked during the day.

Our move to South Point has gone very smoothly. The staff and all the residents have been so friendly and helpful from day one. We really like our apartment. We were able to downsize our contents and still have room for all the things we wanted to bring. The building and our apartment were very clean and remain clean every day as the staff here are very diligent about keeping it clean. The food we feel is very good with a good variety and good choices every day. The meals are planned by a dietitian at Story Point's home office for a month at a time and focused on good healthy eating. It's not always to everyone's liking but so far we are happy with it. They are working on getting more activities up and running as a new activity director was recently hired. We would highly recommend Story Point for any senior looking to make the move to this type of living arrangement.

Staff were very friendly when I stopped in to visit my longtime friend who is living here. I was greeted at the front desk and they were able to direct me to where her room is! One of them even chatted with me for awhile, which was lovely!

I love the residents and staff here. Everyone is friendly and truly care about one another. There are lots of activities to participate in. I eat meals with my friends there frequently and the food is always great. Love this place would consider living here myself.

We have been very pleased with Independence Village. I have not seen nor sampled the food but everything else has been a 5! The staff are wonderful. Attentive and caring. The entire environment is very clean, halls are open and accessible. Her apartment is big enough she is not crowded but not overwhelmed either

I like that this is a smaller facility set up in neighborhoods of 11-12 residents. Each has a living room, kitchen and dining area. It has a very homey feel. Staff have always been friendly and responsive. Apartments are small but adequate.

My father has been in residence since Thanksgiving of 2024. The entire process for him to become part of the Story Point community was simple. A notebook with detailed instructions, paperwork and everything we needed was provided and kept us organized. All Story Point staff from reception, office and dining are kind to dad. They greet him by name and check on how he is while he's out and about. The weekly housekeeping allows keeps dad's room looking great and allows us much more time for memory keeping. He very quickly went from saying he didn't want to participate in any activities to being involved in just about everything, even exercising. Dad gets in about 5,000 steps a day and has gained weight since joining the community. He enjoys seeing the other residents in the dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They all chat about their day. We enjoy getting to know the many of other folks when we join dad for meals. Often their life stories are fascinating. Moving a parent in.

All the staff is very friendly and so are the residents! Love the storage availability. Even though her apartment is smaller than [community removed] it feels bigger with extra high ceilings. Food is great with lots of choices. The Chef even stopped in to see what kinds of foods she likes. Overall great place!

The staff is top notch they are so obliging and caring they will do anything for you. Especially when i was new, and bewildered they helped me adapt. And i especially like that they call everyone by their first name. As a nurse who has worked in many facilities they are so kind.

I like activities, though I wish we had more outings. The outings we do have are my favorite. The food could be better, and it takes a long time. I really like wine down wednesday, so I can get a free beer.

Mom is in a one bedroom apt. With an outdoor patio of her own. Just perfect for one and a brief visitor overnight with a pullout small couch. Small galley kitchen but other than a coffee pot and a toaster and a good size refrigerator you need for nothing else. The bedroom is good size for a queen bed and two dressers and night stands. The bathroom is spacious with a low lip walk-in shower. I have never seen a studio but in drawings and would not suggest it to anyone. The activities are constant and fun. They have musical entertainment quite often and bus runs for shopping, doctors appointments, etc. The staff is very friendly and the apartments are cleaned biweekly. They will even wash your sheets for you. The grounds and facility have been freshly renovated recently as are all apartments as they become available. Price point is good for all that you get.

Faculty/Staff are all very friendly and concerned about making sure you are settled in and all things you need will be addressed.

The food is really good. They have a nice variety of things to eat. My problem with it is they run out of food before the end of the dinner hour. It takes him at least a half hour to take your order. And they don't bring everything they're supposed to be bringing to the table. I have to keep asking for this stuff.

Until the end we were pleased with the staff, facility and care my Mom received at StoryPoint Birmingham.

We love it! They have great staff. I would totally recommend Storypoint. Like I said great staff and caregivers. My dad loves the food and the activities too.

The staff was very attentive and kind. They also reached out to me, should they notice anything troubling. The facility is attractive and well maintained. Lots of fun activities daily, for those so inclined. While the food menu is limited, they went out of their way to arrange special meals the residents would prefer, given picky eaters like Dad. The room was a good size (not small nor too big to easily traverse when mobility issues were a factor. Overall, I would gladly recommend Storypoint to others.

I recently visited my aunt at this community. They were having family night and it was absolutely amazing. The leadership team served us. The decorations were beautiful. Everyone was just so kind and made it feel like a special family dinner.

My parents were moving from an independent facility to an assisted living facility. Everyone at StoryPoint North Powell were very helpful in answering all of our questions and concerns. Everyone we passed in the halls all said Hello and had smiles on their faces. My parents have been there 5 months and have been extremely happy with the experiences they have had. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and supportive. Their favorite events have been the bingo games and the amazing race competition they had with the residents and staff.

Beo is a beautiful property currently being renovated. Staff are awesome. Food needs improvement!

Dad loved his spacious apartment here. He had a nice view of the water, helpful staff when needed, fun activities and special holidays. There is physical rehab right on premise which really is convenient and they are good at what they do. The dining rooms are white tablecloths, with friendly servers and chef prepared options at each meal. He was very happy here for the last 4 1/2 years of his life
