Prestige Care

For us, being new to senior living, it has been a learning curve. There were a lot of questions we didn't really know to ask and services we didn't know were potentially available. I would tell others to do your research and make sure you're finding out information ahead of time so it 's not such a shock after everything is said and done. But we've had a good experience at Prestige. It's clean. Everybody is very nice, and they are taking good are of my parents. My parents seem to love the food. They're just recently starting activities back up after Covid. They have several each day, and then on Mondays they go on road excursions. We were a little shell shocked by the cost, but I think that would be the case anywhere. We have no complaints regarding the care or the facility. If people financially can afford it, I would recommend Prestige.

I will be forever grateful for the careful and professional response Prestige took to manage the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Every person on the team at Beaverton Hills has been so careful and vigilant, so clearly aware of their grave responsibility in keeping the vulnerable residents safe, all the while managing their own safety out in the community at large. I know this has been stressful and difficult and I truly appreciate it. You are all very special people. Thank you for everything.

Staff members know residents by name almost immediately. They are always there to help our mother find her way, and suggesting she join activities.

So far things are going well for Mom. This was a very difficult transition for her. Staff at Auburn Meadows are wonderful at helping her adjust. Mom has good days and bad days. Auburn Meadows staff help her through them all. We have been very pleased.

The staff are very caring and friendly. The facility is very clean and well kept.

Very friendly but the food is not that good. Hit and miss. need a more experienced cook. It is no added sal but my mom has to supplement her diet with food in her room . They start to eat entrees at 4:00 and they run out of entrees. Nothing to be desired. She eats about 75% of the food. Day cook is inexperienced she doesn't know how to buy the right quantities. They have back up items like hot dogs, hamburgers. Overall its a nice facility. other than the food.

We looked at this when we were touring. It was very pretty, but it felt more like a hotel than someones home. Everyone was pleasant, and friendly. The food was really excellent. They just weren't as close to our house and wasn't the best fit for our personality.

I checked three places. Huntington Terrace had the happiest residents, the greatest amount of staff/resident involvement. It was the nicest, the cleanest, and the cheapest. Highly recommended.

We toured this place while looking into care options for our loved one. It was very clean, and the staff were all friendly. It wasn't the sort of care we were looking for for our loved one at the time, but it was still a very nice looking place.

Very nice community!! The problem was that they don't take Medicaid at all, ever, and we knew that eventually my parents would need to use Medicaid. The were out of the running, but not because we didn't like them!

We chose Five Rivers because it was close to my mother's house. It's in a very pastoral and lovely setting. It's beautiful inside and out. The grounds are well kept and the inside is elegant. The rooms are comfortable - it met our needs. I know there are a lot of activities available - they have shopping excursions, card playing, happy hour, entertainment... There were a coupld of times during the day when people didn't come in a timely fashion. I know they have a lot of people to take care of and meetings so there is not as much staff available. In a perfect world they would be there on the dot everytime but I don't think that happens in many places.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Activities are fun and well organized. Food is inconsistent and a limited amount of options. Room size is fine. Sometimes communication from leadership is inconsistent and limited, particularly when issues like Elevator down or water leaks causing water to be turned off.

I liked the facility and everyone was very friendly. I thought they were quite a bit more expensive than other facilities I I have toured lately.

Staff is mostly friendly and smile as you pass in the hallway; there is a large turnover, however. I think this happens in all of the retirement homes from what I hear from others. My loved one enjoys some of the activities, and I think their activity coordinator tries to make fun things and events happen often! She decorates for special events and holidays. My loved one enjoys the weekly meals out quite often! The meals are fairly good. I've enjoyed the meals served the few times I've joined for dinner or lunch. They serve baked chicken thighs often,lots of pork, sausage and peppers is often in the mix, and don't very often have beef, including ground beef and simple baked or mashed potatoes--mostly noodles or rice. My loved one will enjoy one meal but not the next! They hold "food forums" so new suggestions can be considered. I'm sure it's difficult to please everyone! On the positive side their desserts are mostly tasty and appealing, and their salads are quite nice, including their dinner salad. Soups are also quite tasty. I think overall the place is quite clean, and things are updated as needed. There has been painting in halls, dining area, and the maintenance fellas are always working on something as it's a big place! It even has a pleasant smell as you enter and walk through! My loved one's room is very nice, roomy and the style fits their needs quite well. It's nice the laundry is just down from the apartment and has 3 washer/dryer sets so one doesn't usually have to wait. Overall, I think Prestige/Monticello Park has done a good job with what's available to them. I would live there!

Our overall experience has been very good. The staff are all friendly and caring towards the residents and visitors. They try to include all the residents in many activities, even when they are hesitant. The care has had a few hiccups along the way mostly concerning doctors orders, when a medication was increased, they didn't take that into consideration, and ran out of meds, missing several doses before they could get a refill. When oxygen during activity was ordered following a hospital stay, it was hit and miss if they put it on her to walk to the dining room, several times it was put on, but the tank was not turned on. Fortunately she no longer needs oxygen during the day, so that issue was resolved. The room size is good for a person with a walker. She can move easily between rooms. The bathroom is also large sized to accommodate all 'old folk' gear needed. Mom is in a 1 bedroom unit. this facility does NOT smell like an assisted living facility, no urine odor or heavy duty bleach odor, just pleasant.

Very thorough tour. Helpful analysis of our needs. It was an excellent explanation of what we need to do to move forward.

Care providers are great. Just one was rude and nasty. Told management about it and I have no idea what they did about it. Also, someone managed to order 7 DVDs on my husband's Amazon account. I have intercepted 5, but 2 that were delivered never shows up when I went to visit. No way to prove who might have done it. Had to close his Amazon account. He says he didn't order them. Besides, no DVD player in room. The food is good. Really. No complaints. I had one of the best cheeseburgers ever there. Room size is adequate. He has a studio with an entry closet goodies bathroom and mini kitchen area with fridge and sink and microwave. Large windows with views. Rooms are kept clean.

She's very happy living there. Then Prestige wasn't overwhelming with calls and were very upfront on when rooms would be available.

Everyone is helpful and caring so far. Plenty of activities, the food is very good and a nice menu. Apt is great for 1 person. The facility is clean and well kept.
