I thought the quality of care was excellent. The facility was very clean and the staff were friendly. My husbands was a big foody and the chef came and talked to him to get his opinion about what spices to use to make the food even better. I think it was very well run - the director [name removed] was exceptional. It is not a fancy facility, but I was very impressed by everything else.

Our experience has changed, at first I wouldn't recommend the community....now I would recommend the community to others. The community has completely changed with the cleanliness, staffing, and the food was all improved. The only problem I have is the back patio is all dirt, and I would like to see this be completed so the residents can go outside and enjoy the sun and fresh air. There used to be a lot of sandwiches for meals, and now it is more gourmet for the residents due to the new cook. If the resident doesn't like the food they will serve something different, this is a great change. There are no activities offered in the community. The community promised there would be church services, and none have been offered.

Compared to Bay Area places, they are probably reasonable. [name removed] couldn't afford their prices, and [name removed] paid the overage for the first six months. After that, I'm not positive, but I think they let her stay, even though she paid 25% of the bill. I'm a hands on guy, and so I felt there could have been a better level of attention to the facility amenities. For example, you would have to be vocal to get simple things fixed, because I put pressure to get them fixed. (Bulbs replacement, a curtain that was malfunctioning. Remote control that needed batteries. I think it would have been attended to eventually, but pro-active requests get higher priority.

I toured this community and it was ok. They didn't seem to offer any private rooms/bathrooms. All were shared between 2-4 residents, depending on which option you chose. The cost was also high, especially considering their accommodation offerings.

The caregivers are very nice and seem to want to do a good job. The community is understaffed and is a revolving doors as far as employees go. The meals consistent of soup, mac and cheese, and more that seem to be more designed for elementary children than adults. The supplies that I purchase for my loved one, ends up being used for all the residents and not just my loved one. This is unfair to us who are paying for the medical supplies for our loved ones.
