It was big, beautiful and immaculate. When we went there, we toured and every thing was lovely, but it was a little pricey. We went up to their life guidence section. Going through I saw two young girls who work there chatting and a resident was trying to change channels on the t.v. and she was not paid attention to. To me that was not acceptable.

Not interested in this one... too old and tired looking place.

had my mother there for 3 years.........the place is a mess......and the people that run it are at best, 9-5'ers, and are not cut out for this line of work. Stay away!

I suppose it could be worse, so we'll assign 2 stars. Very understaffed. Some staff are nice and helpful and caring, others are useless and clueless. The issue with a place like this is the necessity to rely on the staff and when staff members are unreliable, as was often the case here, it is impossible to feel comfortable with the staff or the environment. I would agree it was probably not the best fit for my mom, it was clear all they wanted was money and all they're after is money, so they either should've never accepted her, or addressed the fact the were unable to properly accommodate her. I highly, highly recommend doing extensive research before entering an elder family member into this type of environment. I suspect a family member it that is fully able to handle themselves and potentially live on their own, but you simply want a senior community for them to live in, this could be a good fit, if you think it's worth an ADDITIONAL $3,000+ per month as compared to standard rent if they we're living on their own. No one is going to encourage them to do activities and participate in the events, so they will need to be willing to do those things on their own. Otherwise, this place is a Complete waste of time and money if you don't have plenty of expendable income.

My late mother in law was a resident for many years. The grounds were nice but upon entering there was no staff to be found. Some of the aides were nasty & didnt want to give you the time of day. When my mother in law fell in her room & ess screaming for help the aides told her no screaming in here! Overpriced, & you have to pay extra for meals. People already pay too much. Dont consider spring meadows, there are plenty of better, modern & affordable places.

Huge turnaround with staff and residents. Administration doesn't call family members back when there is a major concern. Lack of communication and organization. Laundry is missing and getting other peoples laundry. Bella Terra has been operating over a decade and still hasn't got it together yet.

Moved my mother out of there before a weeks time. Help was not there like promised. Terrible dealing with the supervisor of nursing!

For the high price, the experience has not met the expectation of what was promised during the tour of this facility. My mother in law has been very unhappy during her time at Monarch Southbury. There was an expectation of independence that she is not afforded as was expected as part of the independent living aspect of this environment.

Bad experience. My mother passed away from cardiac arrest after aspirating. She had called for help. No nurse at facility during incident. They will not perform any type of first aid or CPR on residents. They will only call 911. They also will not follow up with physicians for orders. Family has to be on top of all of that. They charge extra for care/nursing/medication services but they are not provided.

My loved one was previously a resident at Sunrise of Basking Ridge and the experience was terrible. The place was horrible. They would also over bill and then change it later to a lower number. I do not recommend Sunrise of Basking Ridge to anyone.

I do not recommend Bella Terra by Monarch to anyone. They failed our expectations in every category. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone.

I was looking into places for my parents. Spoke to [name removed] several times. Very difficult to get a hold of as well. Explained the entire situation, their financial situation etc.. When it came time for the paperwork there was another text exchange asking about the 2 year guarantee because my parents would fall short of it. She text me "Just be transparent on the financial form, that way we can plan for when they start to apply" That Friday the director started getting involved asking questions. Only to wind up denying them despite what I was told. Director [name removed] told me she was going to talk to someone else at corporate and get back to me. 1 week later hadn't heard from anyone. I escalated it to their corporate office when [name removed] emailed me back saying he received my email that was sent to the CEO [name removed]. We scheduled a phone call and he backed them 100% didn't care what was in writing. Stated he wasn't a party to the conversation

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place did not only ignore my concerns for my mother, they also just neglected her, left her outside on the ground for over an hour. Please look into other places for you loved ones, as I have since removed mine after several incidents

Had a family member there. Passed away and my daughter told them for no one to enter apt. Until we got down there j[date removed] to clean out. Was told no problem. Someone there entered with key and STOLE MONEY, PAIN MEDS(180) PILLS, PERSONAL ITEMS AND COLLECTORS ITEMS. BELLA TERRA , DENIES SOMEONE ENTERED. WE ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN. SOMEONE TOOK XMAS STUFF IN HIS APT. SO THEY DID ENTER HIS PLACE. THEY DID NOTHINGVFORVOURCFAMILY. NOTVEVEN "IM SORRY" ANYONE THAT GOES THERE, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BRING ANY MONEYVOR PERSONEL STUFFF, BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER HAVECTHEM FOR LONG. TERRIBLE PLACE. POLICE REPORT MADE, SO IT IS NOT GOING TO BE LET GO. HAD TO BE AN INSIDE JOB! THEY SHOULD INVESTIGATE THERE EMPLOYEES!!! SHAME ON BELLA TERRA

Brandywine has consistently and steadily gone downhill!! My parents were one of the first residents. They were promised the world and all its trimmings. My father has to nag and plead for his services which he pays for, and which are not provided unless he complains. A 92 year old man should not have to do this. He says the food and the service in the dining room is horrible....waits 40 minutes for the meal to be served. Very very disappointed in what is going on there and they are very unhappy. I intend to follow up with corporate

Management changed and the Community went downhill. Employees that worked for years and became a part of our family are gone! You can feel the difference when you walk through the door! They took an Executive from a low functioning building and put her in a successful atmosphere and she destroyed it! I tried to talk with her about my loved one and she was cold and could not be bothered it’s too many people for her to handle! I was treated as if I didn’t matter after being self pay for years! I was SO disappointed in the change!!! Sadly, my loved one is no longer with us but I am thankful I don’t have to deal with this place anymore! Go somewhere else where you will feel appreciated all they care about is the money! Once the sales person “charms” you with her fakeness and gets your money she could not be bothered with you again ..she too is disconnected & clueless! Shame on you Brandywine for not appreciating the good when you had it! Take notice of all the GOOD reviews from years ago when they had an amazing team!!

This place doesn't deserve a star !!!, it is a bloody joke!!!! At this point I don't understand why it's still operating, it should be shut down ASAP!!! , families should come in and get their parents out of this hell, I would never put my parents in this place,even if it was my last option. Let's talk about the nasty carpets to the leaking ceiling, and when it rains, the solution is to place a bucket under the leak.?? just WOW and this has been going on for years now, Secondly, the food service is very slow because of the lack of waiting staff,plus the greasy fried food served, plain rediculous for senior people, thirdly residents have to wait for decades to be attended to because the whole building operates on two or three CNAs, not even going to touch base on housekeeping, rediculous!! This company doesn't value its employees,at all!!! ,many are resigning or fired. Whoever you are please save yourself the time and money and avoid the false promises and please Lord help you don't be another victim there are plenty of other decent places out there. They are driving residents around without proper license and endorsement including DOT medical card. This place does not care about your loved ones.

This place is not what it seems. They proclaim to be assisted living / dementia oriented. Families put their loved ones here in initial stages of dementia and then they progress . It should not be conisidered assisted living therefore your loved ones do not get the attention/services/or basic needs met especially safety . Due to non supervision which they will say we can’t provided one on one the patients but let’s call them resident fall all the time. They are understaffed and there is no aids with dementia training . When you do see them they are just standing around with no engagement and night time is even worse . Stay away from this place. They should be ashamed for the dollars they suck people into. Wanna know mortifying a daughter said to me they asked me if I wanted her to have physical therapy to walk again after a fall and she declined saying I would rather her be in a wheel chair then fall again with injuries more serious to make her bed ridden and she know has a one on one she hired. Omg!!! No stars here

This place is nice and clean, most staff are nice however certain upper management ladies have big mouths that gossip and cause trouble. with families and other businesses. If there is a problem they do not communicate to solve the problem they gossip. These certain people are unprofessional , immature and this behavior is illegal. It has been brought to the attention of the head of BW more than once and the behavior still continues because the ladies are still employed. For this reason I would not recommend this place. They need to dispose of these ladies, then the place would get 4 stars from me.

We did not have a good experience in this community. I would not recommend this community to anybody. The staff was not nice, and did not do a good job caring for my loved one, and her needs. It was a disappointing experience overall.
