Heritage Communities

I have found out that this community is good on all levels. the community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Warm greeting by [name removed] and [name removed]. Happy Hour happening in main lobby with music and lots of residents present. Met the activity director - super nice and enthusiastic. Room was nice. Nice to talk to [name removed] who would assess mom and make her care plan. He said he could come see mom at the group home to assess to see if they fit her. Only one to say that. They have both a hoyer lift or 2 person transfer - whichever mom would prefer. They also have a shower wheelchair. Average wait time on call buttons is no more than 3 minutes. Sante has a rehab room on site.

It is a new community. It is a great smaller community. My loved ones have access to anything they want, and have independence if needed. Due to the pandemic the food has been delivered to the resident's rooms. There can be a lack of variety. A great assisted living community that is flexible with us allowing us to help the transition of our loved ones.

overall we are very happy with Benton house. The community is very clean and neat and the food is good. The staff is very friendly and caring and there are activities available for the residence. I would recommend this community to others.

We chose Orchard Pointe because the sales representative was super friendly and some of the stuff she did in the tour was impressive. We also really liked the cleanliness and we were able to talk some of the residents who live there and they were all happy. They have been great with communication, they email us with updates about the community regularly. It has been a good experience I would recommend.

My mom spent the last year of her life in the memory care section of Morningstar at Arrowhead. Everyone loved her and took incredible care of her. I could call (or show up before Covid) at any time of day or night and talk to her. I was kept informed of her condition at all times and staff were always friendly and supportive. She was moved here after her assisted living facility couldn't care for her increasing needs after a series of falls. The staff at the previous facility recommended Morningstar as a wonderful facility. After we put her on hospice care, the hospice staff called after every visit to tell me she was receiving exceptional care at Morningstar. I would recommend this facility to anyone and everyone.

This is "it". This place is right by my house. This is something I foolishly did not think would be at the top of my list but as I toured facilities it really became 2nd with 1st being level of care provided. I have always driven by and thought it looked nice. I was right, it's nice. When I leave most facilities, I ask myself what I did not like. I couldn't come up with anything for this one. It's beautifully decorated, does not have a nursing home vibe at all. It's a small community so navigating will not be an issue for my mother. She will not have to go far to get to the center where all the activities are. Some places are so big, I just don't think she'd participate as much if she had to walk a fair distance to get there. The staff has been fantastic and accommodating to work with. We are transitioning my mother from FL so the timeline is a bit unclear but they've been great and willing to work with me. We put the deposit down yesterday and could not be happier.

Large apartment with apartment size refrigerator. Large closets. Really liked the layout. Staff seems very easy to work with, especially in these COVID times. Now just need to decide on which of the top two locations.

I would recommend this community to others.

We chose Morning Star Assisted Living because of the convenience of the location, the staff members, and the value for your money. The room sizes are great, very spacious. The best part about the community was the staff members, they were great. Also their open area where all the residents sat together was very nice. I would absolutely recommend.

This community is new so it's really nice. The rooms are nice sized. the pricing was better than others in the city. The food was not the best but my husband didn't complain about it. I would definitely recommend this community

Benton House was like brand new when we first toured in. Since it was so new they really didn't have any history with the care services, which was the ultimate reason we did not chose it. However, this community is very pretty, and the rooms they offer to the residents are decent size.

We chose Benton House of Olathe because of the newness of the building. They are also only a 1/2 a mile away, so it makes it very convenient if we needed to get up there quickly. When we took the tour, the staff members were just fantastic. The facility just looks pleasing, it is open, bright, and people are always smiling. My favorite part about the community so far is the staff members and residents. They go out of their way to make sure my dad is taken care of and happy. They always tell me they love him to death and I feel like it is genuine. I would recommend.

They are wonderful overall. The residents are cared for very well. My husband is in Memory care. The food was better before the virus hit. My husband has a semi-private room turned into a single. They do have secured outdoor space for memory care residents to use.

I brought my mother to Morningstar after a year of another facility. I wish I would have brought her to Morningstar to begin with. She had end stages copd and they improved her quality of life tremendously. From her daily bingo games to cruising around on her scouter to socialize with other residents and staff. [Names removed] and the entire staff were amazing with her. They kept her entertained and helped her keep her dignity and pride all the way up to the end. The cook would go above and beyond if she didn’t like what was on the menu he would fix her something she did like??. Even in the end when her time was coming to an end they safely let me be with her in her room for the two days leading to her death due to copd- so she didn’t die alone. During the last three months they kept their entire community safe from the Coronavirus. I tell everyone how grateful I am for their amazing home at Morningstar and I recommend it to everyone!

I moved into MorningStar at Arrowhead just 2 weeks ago. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the caring staff and hardworking individuals who are employed at this community. It was not easy moving during this "new norm," but their Community Relations expert, [name removed], made the transition a smooth one. She went out of her way to set up my apartment and pick up items I needed (keeping me out of the public) so that it really felt like home when I arrived. She even helped arrange for a doctor to come see me so that I have the right oxygen supplies I need. I am thankful to have found such a warm and inviting place where I can make new friends. Thanks for watching out for us Veterans!

I have volunteered at this charming community. Staff is respectful and caring to residents, family members and each other. The community is bright, clean and reputable. I look forward to volunteering again.

As a hospice nurse, I frequent communities in the valley visiting and caring for our patients. This past week I had the opportunity to visit MorningStar Arrowhead. I was very impressed with the community and the care they provide their residents. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. The patient's apartment was bright and spacious as well as clean. He expressed his happiness in living in this community and the excellent care he receives. This was evident in how much his spirits have changed since moving to MorningStar. I look forward to visiting this community again.

Benton House is a very nice looking facility, very clean, lots of room for their residents, both full and part time, to move around. Two separate areas, both with eating facilities. Also outside areas for enjoying warmer weather.

[Name removed] was amazing,loved the property,rooms,employees we met so far. Feels more like home. We chose this place contingent upon moms assessment by the nurse on Monday.
