We chose Brookdale Lake Brazos because the fact that he was able to stay where he is and continue his care with his dementia instead of having to move him again. The rooms are a little on the smaller side, but not bad. The location of the facility is great and the staff members here have been very friendly. My dad also loves their food. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

It's tough to give feedback during this time, but it seems like a good place. We feel comfortable having her there, and she seems safe there.

My sister is very happy here. We chose this facility because she is familiar with it and it is close to where she lived, my mother was here a few years ago, and it has a good reputation. The room sizes here are nice. The staff members have been good with communication, I can always get a hold of somebody. I would recommend them.

It is beautiful and my husband loves it here. The staff is very friendly. The apartments are studios and very roomy. The community was able to find furnishings for the room for us, since this was a temporary move. They even have a visitors room for the families to take advantage of to see our loved ones.

I would tell others to move in if you can afford it. The are very helpful, and good with my loved one. They seem safe in regards to the pandemic. The communication is excellent

We really appreciation their good communication, the staff members are all friendly and they have handled to pandemic really well. This community is the perfect size and perfect atmosphere.

We chose Brookdale Mandarin Central because when they reached out, they came to the house and visited and we had a good connection and I felt comfortable right off the bat. She was knowledgeable and caring, so we picked them without looking any further. It is also a smaller community as well, only 42 rooms. Their activity director goes above and beyond and keeps all the residents engaged, even with everything going on. I would tell others that it is a very difficult decision and you need to feel comfortable with the people you are leaving your loved one with. I felt like they genuinely care and I would recommend them to others looking.

My loved one didn't care of the community. This is because they didn't pick the community. The tour was good for my loved one, and was able to socialize with other residents. The community was immaculate.

My mother has been residing in Brookdale Oak Park since September 2019 and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there to date. The staff is absolutely amazing and attuned to the residents needs. I am so grateful for all of the kindness that they show towards not only my mother but the entire facility during the last year and the challenges that we have faced with the virus. Brookdale has been amazing in trying to provide a very safe environment for the residents and organizing activities that keep everyone safe. My mother enjoys the pleasant interactions that she has on a daily basis with the individuals from the dining area as well as the the maintenance team that is very quick and willing to help her out if she needs anything done in her apartment. The living facilities are very clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a place for aging parents - you can rest assured they will be well cared for.

The communication was good between the staff and the community and I would recommend this community to others

It was a little expensive, but we felt it was worth it. We really like the way they took care of our loved and protected her, we loved everybody there and when she was on hospice they did an incredible job.

While the initial quote on the room seems higher than other places, veteran and other discounts can actually bring the room prices below that of other facilities. Costs for extras such as home health aids on the independent living side are less than other places and those services are not outside contractors. Amenities are numerous and it's obvious that the staff takes pride in what they offer.

Our family is extremely pleased with the care provided to our loved one at Brookdale Glen Ellyn. The staff is completely resident centered. The staff is professional at all times. During the worst pandemic our world has experienced in over 100 years the staff had an incredibly strict action plan in place for residents and family members. As difficult as it was for all, our loved ones remained safe and healthy. According to a CVS pharmacist, the number of Covid cases for staff and residents alike was the lowest for all senior living facilities in the area. Thank you!

From what our loved one says, the meals are really good but the portions are just a little to big. She really enjoys not having to clean her own place, and they allowed her to bring her dog which was a very big deal.

We have been very happy with our experience so far, the meals are really good and even with the recent snow we have had this community has kept our loved one warm. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, they have done a good job so far.

We are very pleased with our experience with Brookdale. If you cannot take your mom home, you can for sure take her here and feel confident that she is being well taken of. I would recommend to others looking.

Our mom became a Brookdale resident in [date removed] and from day one, we knew it was the right place for her. She has been very happy living there which gives our family a lot of peace of mind. The staff is friendly and genuinely cares about the residents. A wide variety of activities are offered on-site throughout the week, and in non-pandemic days they offered occasional local day trips and tours around the area. The staff has been absolutely wonderful during the Covid pandemic: going above and beyond keeping the residents protected and also providing activities they can do safely and sending email updates to families during this past year when we couldn't see them in person. Our family would highly recommend Brookdale OP as a residence option for your loved one.

Great tour of a welcoming, beautiful and clean facility. Executive Director was very informative and showed all common areas and rooms. The staff and residents I saw were friendly and happy.

The community is not for someone who is a fall risk. If your loved is mobile then I would recommend this community to others.
