Brookdale

Brookdale was great to work with. Stable staff that was great with the residents. It is definitely assisted living and can meet some nursing needs. I would probably not look at it as a nursing facility.

I toured Brookdale Sikes Lake and really liked the facility. However, it was much bigger than the other facility that I toured. This facility is a two story facility and has elevators. My mom would not have been able to navigate well here. Otherwise, I had a great visit with the director and a nice tour.

They seem to be short staffed, but are doing an excellent job. I understand staffing issues are nation wide in this type of facility. My mom is safe, comfortable, well fed, and entertained. The facility is close to me, so I visit every day.

We visited Brookdale Meadowmont in Chapel Hill and meet with the sales manager for a tour. Enjoyed meeting some residents, who all seemed happy and content with each other and with living in the facility. Plenty to do there with entertainment and daily living. Very well organized and very clean. Safe environment. Good location. Sales manager was extremely friendly, professional and understanding of our situation. Kept in touch with us frequently.

[name removed] serves the community with passion, expertise, and love. Having her as the face of Brookdale is truly a delight when you see how she treats her residents.

My experience with this community has been awesome. The staff is very welcoming and really shows they care about their residents.

Everyone seems so nice, even a few months later! And they provide very good care.

Pros- Friendly, great care, good food. Cons - Old facility. However we would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on our experience.

Highly recommend as the small size of Brookdale Centennial allows better control and gives the feel of home to residents. Loving staff with involved management. No one place is perfect, but I have not had any reason to regret our decision to make this my Mother’s new home.

I liked Brookdale Highlands, but it was further away from family, along with another community. It was also more expensive than we wanted to spend.

Moved my dad here from another state and he has adjusted very well. The staff has given me peace of mind knowing that he is being taken care of with the care that he is given. Meals are great and kitchen staff is awesome!

The room is smaller than one might prefer. Not quite enough space for two full chairs, so guests use folding chairs. However that former ALF had a beautiful room lacking in adequate care, so this is a trade off I will take. I'm overall very happy with Brookdale. This move has been very good for our family.

They took excellent care of my brother (who was not easy) for the last few months of his life. I thought all the staff was exceptionally kind and patient. Would definitely recommend them!

Good tour, nice staff, good price offered. Nice immediate surroundings, gated community (positive). But the location was not optimal - further away and not as familiar to us.

The care is excellent! Mom has been at another facility in this area, and I have something to compare to. The staff are friendly, caring, kind, gentle, on top of everything. When you walk in you get the at home feeling. The rooms are beautiful, always being cleaned. For mom's care plan, I couldn't complain about anything, they are on top of her medications, showering, getting her down to her meals. I love the call button on hand if she needs anything, staff arrives in a timely manner. I recently met the Kitchen manager, he stated " If the food isn't good, it will not come out of my kitchen", that is important to mom. I can bring our dog in to visit. The staff is on top of Dr appointments with paperwork ready to go. The hair salon is a must and well managed. The activities are perfectly geared for the appropriate age group. The grounds are kept up nicely. I am so impressed and have a relief that my mother is being well taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend Brookdale Medford. Truthfully!

This place is by far the best residential care place in all of northeast Florida Wonderful caring staff. Beautiful facility good food and excellent nursing staff. Many activities daily I highly recommend!!

The community is in a convenient location, and all of the residents, as well as the staff members, are very friendly and sweet to my mom. Everyone speaks and looks out for each other. The cost is on par with other communities in the area. I am happy with our choice of Brookdale Bossier City.

It is an excellent place with very caring staff and they truly do care about the residents. I would recommend them to anyone who can afford it. thought this was a great place and very caring staff. Management worked with us on the cost. The staff doesn't just wheel the resident in the hall and leave them they make sure they are very active throughout the day. My mom was able to do things there she hadn't done in a very long time. Such as bake cookies from scratch. I believe in them and they made us feel like family. It is a beautiful and peaceful facility. We are so glad our mom was there vs a traditional nursing home. And we would not have found this Wonderful place without the help of A Place For Mom. Thank you for all that you do, to help families such as ours having to make difficult decisions for Thier loved ones hoping it is the right decision.
