Brookdale

The people are fantastic with all residents and know how to diffuse every person's crisis. I am there every week and leave more impressed every time.

As a local Asian American family here in Durham and after looking at several places for our mom, we chose Brookdale Durham—and honestly, we’re glad we did. From the start, the staff made her feel welcome. They learned her name right away, and even remembered little things like how she prefers her tea. It’s those small touches that made a big difference for us. The place itself is clean, feels peaceful, and has these really nice outdoor spaces. My mom loves sitting in the courtyard or watching the birds and fish—they actually have a bird enclosure she visits almost every day. Are there areas that could improve? Slightly, sometimes it takes a bit longer to get help when it’s busy, and we’ve had to remind them about housekeeping once —but nothing that’s ever made us regret the decision. Everyone is trying, and you can feel that. And Mom feels love and respected and a wonderful little social group of ladies

Staff was always helpful and very kind. The chef was so accommodating to my father's low sodium diet. I would recommend Brookdale at Paulin Creek.

My mother enjoys the people and the staff. They have become a valued part of her community. [name removed] the sales agent is absolutely wonderful! Even after 6 months of residency she still helped us out with random issues, concerns or questions. She was comforting while getting Mom settled. Such a new experience for both of us. [name removed] is always friendly, kind and helpful. He gets things done and is excellent with follow through. He cares about the residents it shows. [name removed] is fantastic at scheduling activities for the Seniors! Mom has been quite active going to most of the events. [name removed] creates an atmosphere and an environment full of fun, and excitement. The Christmas party was stellar. I would rate housekeeping as a 3 or less. Housekeeping has issues that need to be worked out . Sometimes they do not show up. The most disturbing issue is when housekeeping just shows up with no notice at all. My mother was taking a shower and a male housekeeper showed up randomly into her apartment. She was startled and upset. It was a violation of her privacy. Housekeeping has done this more than once. They need to schedule better. And overall be more professional. Perhaps they need to hire more housekeepers. It seems most people were happy when the head housekeeper left. The two critical areas for improvement is housekeeping and the food. The chef ask questions but really does not respond to their concerns. Dinner is an important time for the residents to engage with each other. To have a good meal and to bond over their shared experiences. It's more than a meal; it is an experience. At this time much work is needed.

The staff is great. My mom's only complaint is the food could be better. I definitely would recommend

The executive Staff at Brookdale South CLT are willing to work with families on whatever they need! I have not found this anywhere else.

They seem nice and most residents seem happy.

The staff works hard to make social interaction available whether it’s at a meal or group events. That is especially nice for new residents. Housekeeping does a wonderful job with the physical side of the facility keeping both your apartment and the community areas clean and pleasant. The medical staff and Aids are very responsive to any needs you might have.

I would give it a five out of five in most all of those categories. Very, very happy and impressed with their place and the cleanliness, friendliness the helpfulness if there's a problem for my mother-in-law, the food is great and she does not participate in the activities, but I see a lot of people when I visit her participating and having a great time. It's a it's a great facility and bit expensive, but probably not on the high end of being expensive.

I thought the staff was very welcoming and want to make the transition easy and calm for the residents. They have a lot of activities to join in on as a group or just one on one. Meals are very healthy and they get help if they need it. Just a very wonderful place I have know worries about my husband care.

The staff is very caring and in constant communication with is. Overall, we have been very pleased with the care mom is receiving.

Very impressive, responsive management. She loves the food. Apartment is so lovely with lots of daylight and a tiny balcony. We're very happy with Brookdale Southfield.

The staff are all kind, have patience. My dad says he is treated well. I'm happy I found the facility its beautiful had lots of activities , and other people to socialize with.

Small facility, friendly staff, lots of opportunities if people want to join in.

We are very happy with everything from staff to food. I have been very impressed with the staff, after just 2 days they all called my Mother by name every time they saw her. The meals are fantastic such a great assortment of items at each meal. My Mom gets her room cleaned twice a week and laundry weekly. The social activities are great. I am very pleased with the whole Brookdale experience!

It is awesome. Staff is fantastic and caring. I would recommend for those with loved ones with Alzheimer's or dementia. Mom came in in a wheel chair after hip surgery and is now moving around with a walker. She seems very content.

She was there a very short time and had more issues than I think we realized and they were so kind and helpful. I also was dealing with them a 1,000 miles away.

[name removed], the director at Brookdale Eagan has an open door policy and welcomes all input and questions. Also has established bimonthly residence council meetings. Easy to join either online or in person. It's facilitated by a residents family member. [name removed[], the activity director engages residents in a multitude of activities including frisbees, beanbag tossing, making May baskets, painting making cookies and more this keeps residents engaged and team playing. I can't say enough about the caring staff that are there for every need of the residents and that expands to family (me) and visitors. One of them got my wife dancing and they even had a dance party for her birthday where everyone joined in, staff and residents. Meals are more than adequate, the cook engages with residents to ensure they are enjoying their meals. My wife has told me many times that he is a good guy. Everyone is celebrated on their birthday and other milestones. There is monthly entertainment brought in including live music, visits (outside) with Llamas, ice cream socials and more. Brookdale Eagan is a wonderful community for residents, families staff, I could go on. The place feels like home with the best of neighbors. I could go on, I know I could say more. It has done wonders for my wife and wonders for me.

I rate Brookdale Russellville a 5, on all aspects. The people, all of them, were the friendliest, most helpful, most supportive in every way. They were willing to make any accommodation possible, to be sure we would have everything we needed. The facility is spotless and so welcoming. I don't have one negative thing to say about Brookdale and it's employees. I loved it.
