Brookdale

We've used Brookdale Mariana for respite care while in the process of selling Mom's home. The experience has been good but could have been better. The staff was not properly trained on how to turn off the oxygen tank which caused the oxygen to run out quickly so I'm hoping that since the incident they've been trained properly. I've had experience with many facilities and the main thing is to stay on top of the staff on things. I've had to remind them to bathe my mother twice a week among other things. I wouldn't say it was all bad. I plan on using them again for respite, it's just a matter of paying attention and making sure you are present for your loved ones as well.

The experience has gone pretty well although it could be better. Moving my parents in after paying our deposit we learned very quickly that the community doesn't have a maintenance person. When the movers went to hang their clothes in the closet the rod fell to the floor. My boyfriend ended up having to repair the rod himself in order to get their clothes hung. There was another incident where the drapes fell off the rod and onto the heater that was off thankfully. Because my parents couldn't hang it they pulled the emergency cord twice and NO response. It was later confirmed that the cord does work and someone just wasn't paying attention which is a bit alarming. Thankfully, it wasn't a real emergency! The curtain rod needs to be reinforced or the drapes will fall again but that has not been taken care of yet. Other than that the experience it has been okay. The staff are friendly and very personable. They always address both myself and my parents by name. Other than the minor mishaps it's been good! Robin and Christina have been very helpful and supportive throughout all of this.

Nice place not much area for walking the dogs only 2 rooms for activities

For the most part, I think she likes it very well. She upgraded her apartment to a bigger size. She got lucky and has a view overlooking their beautiful courtyard. It is not perfect. There is not a lot of variety with the food, but they do have a nice salad bar. If they could work on the food at lunch that would be nice. She said dinner is the best part. The housecleaning is iffy. She said they do come in once a week, but they don't really clean thoroughly. She does enjoy some of the activities. The nursing care is 24/7 which is great. Things could be better, but they could also be worse.

I toured this community while looking into senior living options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, I don't think the care was the best match for what my loved one was needing at the time. Overall it seems like a nice place, and is definitely worth a look!

Mom moved into Brookdale not too long ago and things seem to be going well. She partakes in the activities although the activities are not as consistent as they could be. She seems to have made some friends although she is not very social. Overall the experience has been a good one so I guess I'd recommend them if need be.

Friendly! Smelled normal. Very clean. Residents appear to get along and are friendly with each other. Residents appear to be well-kept. Lunch was OK. Light and bright. No one sitting around looking deserted. Studio big enough, but not huge. 1 bdrm is roomy. Lots of sitting areas. Exercise classes twice a day.

Overall our experience with Brookdale Muirfield has been a good one. The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff seems friendly and caring. My loved one has had good things to say about the meal service, he really enjoys the food! However, he says the response times to the in-room call buttons can be slow. I also think they could be a bit more helpful in regards to getting billing and insurance services set up.

A Place For Mom helped me find this community for my sister, which was a great help. This is a nice little place, a little smaller than she is used to but she falls a lot so this works out for her well and she likes it. As for cleanliness, it is a little below perfect. This has been a heroing experience and was tough at first, but we got through it.

Things are going great since my Mom has moved in to Brookdale Liverpool. She seems to be adjusting very well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, it feels like family there. Over all it's been a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend this community.

Staff at Brookdale are very friendly and go the extra mile to help make the experience of moving into a memory care facility a positive and care giving time as possible. The details and social aspects are as important to them as the physical and economic details. This is very reassuring to the the family that their loved one maintains their self-respect and individuality as the transition to memory care living can be very challenging.

We ended up going with Brookdale for respite care and even though it wasn't quite the level of care that we needed it was still a very positive experience. The food was amazing! The staff is nice and friendly. The activities are awesome! All in all it was a great experience the only thing was the level of care which was not their fault but a learning experience for us.

This is a small community which makes it feel like family here. I like the fact that the staff can spend time with each resident one on one which is great. There are activities, but they do not really try that hard to get the residents to participate.

Jessica Martin, who gave us our tour of Brookdale Monroe, was engaging, patient and knew how to speak so that our very hard-of-hearing stepdad could hear her. We found Brookdale to be inviting, with attractive communal spaces and a variety of living units. The nurses and dining room staff showed the professionalism and respect for and enjoyment of residents that we Hoped to see. Our stepdad selected Brookdale on his own over another facility we saw. He has been there for a month and is getting the physical rehab that he was looking forward to. We are tremendously relieved that our stepdad is in a place of his own in a facility where he can get assistance at any time if needed. He has an excellent appetite and enjoys the food. Our experience of Brookdale to date has been very positive and the cost is comparable to other area facilities.

The staff and accommodations are 1st class. My wife and I were very impressed with all. Except for the transport staff getting my dad over from Desert Cove on thurs the 28th. Once again we do give high praise to all.

We toured here and liked it. It was nice, definitely our second choice. It was mainly our second choice, because we needed a single level building. We thought two floors would be a bit much for our loved one.

Brookdale seems like a nice place. From what we can tell, the facility is always clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and attentive and they seem willing to help in any way they can. The other residents are very nice too.

Brookdale is very a very modern facility and it is clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful, caring and attentive. The level of care here is excellent and so far things are going pretty well here.

I was impressed with my tour. I got there during meal time. I met residents as we walked through the property. Very clean building well kept. They do specialize in memory care. Small seating areas throughout near windows and gathering areas for families were nice. I’ll go back for another visit with my husband during the daylight hours and to ask a few more questions. It’s a lot to take in even though I thought I was prepared. None of this is easy, but I felt that Candy answered most of my questions before I had a chance to ask them she was very warm and helpful. This was a very good place to start my search.
