Arcadia Care

Overall Ascension Living Heritage Village is a good experience. We love their staff because if they can please my mom, that takes some doing!! We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far

Staff is very knowledgeable, my room was always clean, good is good, everyone is very helpful. i would highly recommend Heritage Village.

The facility is very clean and the staff have been great so far! The facility was also a great fit because it fit our budget and location needs. Courtyard Estates has proven to be the best choice for my mother!

I'm a resident at Friendship Village Retirement Community. I chose Friendship because of it's North Dayton location. It's located directly off I-70 at the Route 48 exit! I'm from the West Central part of Ohio therefore making it easy for family to visit and vice versa! I'm classified as independent even though I'm 2nd stage with Multiple Sclerosis. I walk funny but stable and drive my '95 Cadillac everywhere! I live in one of their cottages and enjoy "my home" very much! I still do my own cleaning but my friend Connie, an employee of Friendship vacuums every other Tuesday. Can't get her to wax my car though! lol. Food is great with a much varied menu. They also offer a restaurant style menu to satisfy the whiners! lol. I'm very happy here! The campus always looks inviting. The main building looks like a section of the pentagon misplaced to Ohio!

Therapy does a great job. The food is also great.

The activities are getting slim. The food is going downhill and the food staff is slow and unconcerned about what is served. I was served a burnt, black on top piece of pie. Not a piece of cherry pie I would serve someone I didn't like. I also wonder about the germs being spread through the heating system. It seams pretty dirty and the air returns come from many rooms. A health problem likely to come.

My dad was there for 6 and 1/2 months and I would say care was mediocre at best. Every since Arcadia bought Hickory Point the care had went way down. I was told 1/2 the staff quit because of the change in ownership and they replaced very few. Arcadia bought Hickory Point in [date removed] and if you see any positive reviews I would bet they were prior than [date removed]. When I contacted the Ombudsmen program about an issue they commented that Arcadia was very hard to deal with.
